Omotola Jalade Ekeinde's OYEP Foundation Put A Smile on the Faces of Twenty Widows!!!

Image
Follow me @Nolimit2life Recently Omotola Jalade Ekeinde did something pretty amazing in my opinion that raised my respect and admiration for her by a couple of bars. She took a group of widows on a pampering and makeover session. Some cynics may ask what happens after the makeover but my argument is: If she was able to put a smile on the faces of those women for a day and make them forgot their circumstances at that point in time... to just see themselves as another beautiful, unique creation of God, then she did very well. Being an orphan myself, I can relate totally with what Omotola said about the widows always channelling whatever you give them to the upkeep of their children and the home...which is to be expected seeing that they are the only ones raising the children. I can so relate with this as mother was like that, come to think of it, most mothers are like. They will rather wear the same clothing item for 10years than see their children lack anything at all...my mum God rest...

30 Day challenge... DAY 15 - Your Zodiac sign and If You Feel They Fit Your Personality.

I know for sure that there are zodiac signs/horoscope readers etc ... I know they are sometimes on point but I also know that basing my life on it is a big No No! Because the Word will reveal who I am, what I was created to do,where I ought to be and how I need to get there clearer and more accurate than any sign reading! confirmed... tried and tested! I'm not surprised that the personality traits for the zodiac sign that matches my birthday matches my personality in many ways...the star gazers saw Jesus' sign many miles away, it still doesn't make it the right way to look into the future or discover who you are! This is my opinion and I'm sticking with it :)

30 Day challenge... DAY 14 - What You Wore Today

Nothing major, heard it was going to be windy so I kitted up appropriately. Had on a blue and black striped jumper and over my grey very sensible grey trousers and I wore a pair of black flats. Ps: do I have to talk up about the thermal wear I wore too? lol!!!

30 Day challenge... DAY 13 - Your Opinion About Your Body And How Comfortable You Are With It. - Imperfect me!!!

Image
Hey guys, I'm back(If I have a gold coin for the number of times I've said I'm back, I should be smiling to a Swiss bank:D)... anyways, bottom line is I'm back, I'm not going to worry about being consistent, cos that will make me want to stop in mid air as I cannot guarantee what tomorrow holds with regards to that...the only guarantee is... TOMORROW WILL BE BETTER FOR SURE!!! Right, when I got today day 13, I actually put a post up but then I stopped because I thought I wasn't being exactly genuine, not that the post wasn't true, but it took me a long while to get comfortable with my body and I thought it will be more impactful to share the various struggles with you my wonderful peops...so here we go! I am extremely comfortable with my body I dare say...! But I wasn't always comfortable with my body... First was my belly button...it was a round button indeed, it isn't like it was protruding or anything of that nature, but it was just round and cute...

What happened to me?

I got to Day 13 and lost the plot! I can't explain why, I'm pretty sure the next topic wasn't the cause. I just went off radar for no reason. Anyways, I'm back and I'll continue where I stopped.

30 Day challenge... DAY 12 - Five Men I find Attract And Why!

Had to pause to think about this deeply!!! Hmmmm. I'm scrolling through the list of men in my life and I realise that they are all attractive in their own way. It will be unfair to list only five. So I will group them and write about what I find attractive in them. here we go... 1. KAAD: His sense of humour... there's no boring moment with this dude. It doesn't matter how low I'm feeling at any point in time, humour is only a chat away! 2. OS: He has this unbelievably fantastic relationship with his family and to be honest I totally love it. They are so close knit that they can't be broken...his nieces and nephews adore him to bits and he is tight with his pop. Weird as it sounds, I find that attractive, let's not forget that he is one of the kindest soul I'm privileged to know! 3. CKMS: His brain...my goodness... there's something about a guy who's intellect is sterling...I'm not talking about a book worm...this dude is intelligent...you know th...

30 Day challenge... DAY 11 - My Family

I am very protective of my folks and the people I call fam! Okay let's start with my immediate family... I am the last of four girls and the three older ones are way older than me. The distance in age hasn't been a barrier to our relationship thankfully but as would be expected of a naija family the respect is there!*RME* I am highly protective of my nephews and nieces, they might as well be my own children...I relate with them in a way their parents don't... "I am the keeper of many secrets" lol If you really want to see my reddest eye, try stepping on my nephews' and nieces' toe(s)...I may just draw blood(okay may be not physically but you understand). I remember lamenting about my sister to a friend once and my friend probably thinking she was helping said something negative about my sister...OMG the rate at which I turned on her surprised her and even myself! She got the message :) With people I call Fam...even the ones I've met in blogville :) ( Y...
